All kinds of information are suitable for publication on planet-mde (in any kind of language, see below), as long as the information is relevant to the Model Driven Engineering community. planet-mde, and in particular the planet-mde mailing list is dedicated to MDE. This precise focus helps in providing best value for MDE afficionados.
- refers to all other portals. This is a key feature of planet-mde. Most other portals are technology-based, or team-based, or conference-based, or standard-based, or something-based, and sometimes-biased. Refering to all other portals is always a good mean to ensure global information dissemination. Many portals provide very good value and interestingly address MDE topics from different perspectives (see the "Web portals " section).
- independent. planet-mde is not linked to a particular tool, conference, team or standardization body. The sole goal of planet-mde is to enable the communittee to share and build knowledge about Model Driven Engineering. For instance it gathers together information about hundreds of conferences and hundreds of tools, information that would be difficult to gather otherwise.
- the most important source of information about Model Driven Engineering. This is certainly true. You can check by yourself. Again, planet-mde not only contains a lot of information but it also refers to thousands of web sites, and interstinSgly it refers to all related portals.
- truly international. Contributions to planet-mde have been received so far from more than 80 people from 24 different countries from all over the Earth, but this is just a beginning...
